    1 - Open Piskel

Open a new browser tab and go to Piskel. Click on 'Create Sprite' to start a new project.

    2 - Resize the Canvas

Resize the canvas to create a long cityscape. Click on 'Resize' in the top right corner, then set the width to 800 pixels and the height to 200 pixels. Click 'Apply' to save the changes.

    3 - Add a Background

Choose a color for the sky by clicking on the color picker. Then use the 'Paint Bucket' tool to fill the entire canvas with the chosen color.

4 - Create and Fill Buildings

Use the 'Rectangle' tool to draw different shapes of buildings. Experiment with different colors and sizes to make your cityscape unique. Place the buildings at the bottom of the canvas to create the appearance of a skyline.

A skyline is the outline of buildings and other structures against the sky, like what you see when you look at a city from far away. After drawing each building, use the 'Paint Bucket' tool to fill in the rectangle with the same color.

    5 - Add Windows

Use the 'Rectangle' tool again to draw small squares for windows on the buildings. Choose a contrasting color to make the windows stand out.

A contrasting color is a color that looks different from the building's color, making it easy to see the windows. For example, if your building is blue, you can choose yellow for the windows.
