Β‘Hola! Do you have a favourite toy? Maybe a teddy bear you sleep with, or a yo-yo you can do tricks with? Today we're going to learn how to talk about toys in Spanish - perfect for when you visit a Spanish toy shop or play with Spanish-speaking friends!
In Spain, children love the same toys we do, but they have different names for them. Some toys are 'el' (masculine) and some are 'la' (feminine) - we'll spot the difference as we learn.
Here are today's new Spanish toy words. Click each one to hear the pronunciation, then say it yourself! Notice how some toys use 'el' (masculine) and some use 'la' (feminine). Can you spot the pattern?
