3 - Tips
💡 Pronunciation Tips for French Farewells
- Listen carefully to each audio clip and repeat after it. French has special nasal sounds – try to hum through your nose for words like Au revoir .
- Make the 'r' sound soft and from the back of your throat, not like in English. Practise Au revoir until it feels smooth.
- For À bientôt , stress the 'bee' and let the 'on' sound nasal, like 'see you soon'.
- Salut is short and casual – say it quickly like 'bye' to friends.
