1 - Let's Show Off Our Family Trees!

Having made a detailed sketch of our family tree in the previous unit, it's now time to present it. And just like the masterpieces in art galleries, your family tree is a work of art that tells the story of your ancestors.

    2 - Materials We Need

    Your family tree sketch.
A large piece of cardboard or poster board.
    Coloured pencils or markers.
Photos or drawings of family members (optional but makes it lively).
    Glue or tape.
Decorative items like stickers, ribbons, etc. (optional).

    3 - Laying the Groundwork

Place your cardboard or poster board on a flat surface.
Starting in the centre, draw or stick the first person or couple you started with. It could be you, your parents, or even your grandparents.
Ensure you leave enough space to expand outwards or downwards depending on your family structure.

    4 - Placing the Branches

Based on your sketch, add each subsequent generation. Make sure to connect everyone with lines to indicate relationships like we did in our sketch.
For example, from the central person or couple, draw lines towards their children, and from there, towards their grandchildren.

    5 - Making It Lively

If you have photos, glue them above or below each person's name. If not, you might want to draw small pictures or symbols that remind you of each person.

Use colours to highlight different generations or branches. For instance, you might colour all the boxes of one generation in blue and the next in green.

Add any decorative items you have. Maybe a sticker of a football next to someone who loves the sport or a little drawing of a book for someone who loves to read.
