1 - Welcome to About Me
Have you ever met someone new and wanted to tell them all about yourself? Today we're learning how to share personal facts in Spanish - your name, age, where you live, what you like, and more!
Imagine you're at a Spanish summer camp meeting kids from all over. These phrases will help you introduce yourself and make new friends quickly.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:
- Tell someone your name, age, and where you live in Spanish
- Say what you like and don't like
- Share your birthday and favourite colour
2 - About Me Phrases
Here are the key Spanish phrases for talking about yourself. Click each one to hear how it sounds, then try saying it with your own information!
Notice how many phrases use 'Me' at the beginning - this is part of the structure for introducing yourself and expressing likes in Spanish.
How to Use This Activity:
Option 1: Digital Reference (Interactive)
- Display the Word Table on the whiteboard or let students access on their devices.
- Click/tap words to hear pronunciation - great for listening and speaking practice.
- Go through each word together, practising pronunciation as a class.
Option 2: Printed Reference Sheet

3 - Flashcard Practice
See the English phrase and try to remember the Spanish before flipping each card. Say the phrase out loud using your own details to practise!
How to Use This Activity:
Option 1: Students on Devices
- Students complete the Flashcards activity on their own laptop or tablet.
- Great for self-paced vocabulary drilling. Students can flip cards and repeat until confident.
- Walk around the room to monitor progress and assist students who need help.
Option 2: Teacher-Led (Whiteboard/Projector)
- Display the activity on your interactive whiteboard or projector.
- Click to flip cards and have the class say the word together. Use choral repetition for pronunciation practice.
- Invite students up to interact with the board, or have them call out answers from their desks.
4 - Listen and Answer
Listen to these short conversations where people share facts about themselves, then answer the comprehension questions. Pay close attention to names, ages, and likes!
How to Use This Activity:
Option 1: Students on Devices
- Students complete the Listen & Answer activity on their own laptop or tablet.
- Students listen to audio and answer comprehension questions. They can replay audio as needed.
- Walk around the room to monitor progress and assist students who need help.
Option 2: Teacher-Led (Whiteboard/Projector)
- Display the activity on your interactive whiteboard or projector.
- Play audio to the whole class, then discuss answers together. Replay tricky sections.
- Invite students up to interact with the board, or have them call out answers from their desks.
5 - Partner Conversations
Time to chat with a partner! Follow the conversation prompts together, taking turns as Person 1 and Person 2. Use your real information to make it authentic.
How to Use This Activity:
Option 1: Students on Devices
- Students complete the Partner Practice activity on their own laptop or tablet.
- Students practise dialogue with a partner or family member. They can click to hear each phrase before repeating.
- Walk around the room to monitor progress and assist students who need help.
Option 2: Teacher-Led (Whiteboard/Projector)
- Display the activity on your interactive whiteboard or projector.
- Pair students up to practise the dialogue. Model the conversation first with a volunteer, then have pairs practise.
- Invite students up to interact with the board, or have them call out answers from their desks.
