    1 - Welcome to Bird Watching

    Have you ever watched birds flying high in the sky or spotted colourful ones in a park? Today we're going bird watching in German! Germany has amazing birds too - from elegant swans on lakes to bright flamingos in zoos.

    Imagine you're exploring a German wildlife park and need to tell your friends what birds you see. That's exactly what you'll learn to do today!

    By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

    • Name 8 amazing birds in German
    • Spot birds from pictures and sounds
    • Play fun bird games in German

    2 - Meet the Birds

    Word TableHere are today's new German bird names. Click each word to hear how it's pronounced! Notice most birds are masculine so they use 'der', but watch for feminine ones like 'die Ente'.

    Try to spot any words that sound similar to English - like 'der Pinguin' for penguin. These 'friends from English' make learning easier!

    3 - Bird Bingo

    BingoTime for bird bingo! Listen carefully to the bird names called out and click them on your bingo card. Work quickly to get a line or full house!

    4 - Label the Birds
