Have you ever watched birds flying high in the sky or spotted colourful ones in a park? Today we're going bird watching in French! France has amazing birds too - from elegant swans on lakes to bright flamingos in zoos.
Imagine you're exploring a French wildlife park and need to tell your friends what birds you see. That's exactly what you'll learn to do today!
Here are today's new French bird names. Click each word to hear how it's pronounced! Notice most birds are masculine so they use 'le', but watch for 'l'aigle' which starts with a vowel.
Try to spot any words that sound similar to English - like 'le pingouin' for penguin. These 'friends from English' make learning easier!
