    In Spain and Latin America, people often introduce themselves when they meet for the first time. Knowing these phrases will help you make Spanish-speaking friends or chat with Spanish visitors.

    By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

    • Ask and answer 'What's your name?' in Spanish
    • Say 'My name is...' in Spanish
    • Use both informal and formal ways to greet people

    Here are the essential Spanish phrases for introducing yourself. Notice how some phrases use 'tΓΊ' (informal for friends) and others use 'usted' (formal for adults). Click each phrase to hear the pronunciation, then practise saying it yourself!
