Here are today's new Spanish bird words. Click each one to hear the pronunciation, then say it out loud. Notice how most birds are masculine so they use 'el' - except for 'El águila' which uses 'el' because the word starts with a vowel.
Some words might look familiar - 'pingüino' looks like 'penguin'! These cognates help us remember. Others like 'flamenco' (flamingo) tell us exactly what they look like - pink flamingo!
