1 - Welcome to the Fruit Market
Imagine you're at a bustling German market with colourful fruit stalls everywhere! Today you'll learn how to name 8 delicious fruits in German and chat about your favourites - perfect for ordering at a café or market.
By the end of this lesson, you will:
- Name 8 German fruits with correct pronunciation
- Know which fruits are 'der' (masculine) and which are 'die' (feminine)
- Practice fruit conversations like at a real market
2 - Meet the Fruits
Here are today's 8 delicious German fruits. Click each word to hear the pronunciation, then say it yourself! Notice how most use 'die' (feminine) but some use 'der' (masculine).
How to Use This Activity:
Option 1: Digital Reference (Interactive)
- Display the Word Table on the whiteboard or let students access on their devices.

3 - Fruit Sorting Challenge
Time to practise German grammar! Drag each fruit into the correct column: 'der' for masculine or 'die' for feminine. Listen to the audio if you need a pronunciation reminder.
