Germany has one of the world's fastest trains called the ICE, and Berlin has a huge U-Bahn system. Knowing transport words helps when reading signs, asking directions, or planning trips.
Here are today's new German transport words. Click each one to hear the perfect pronunciation from a native speaker, then say it out loud yourself!
Notice how some words start with 'der' (masculine) and some with 'die' (feminine) - this is German grammar in action. Most transport words are masculine, but watch for the feminine ones like 'Die Straรenbahn' and 'Die Fรคhre'.
