Whether your students are seasoned coders or just starting out, this competition offers the perfect opportunity for them to create, learn, and shine.

What Is the Coding Ireland Christmas Challenge?

The Christmas Challenge 2024 is open to students aged 8-12 and encourages them to design their own Christmas-themed project using Scratch or MakeCode Arcade. Participants can choose between two exciting challenge categories:

🎮 Christmas Game Design: Students create an engaging, interactive game with a festive twist.
🎥 Holiday Animation Creation: Students bring a Christmas story or scene to life through animated storytelling.

This is a chance for your students to unleash their creativity, practice problem-solving, and showcase their coding skills—all while having fun!

🎁 Prizes: Exciting prizes include Microbits, Game Go Arcades, and more! We have dedicated prizes for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class.
📣 Announcement of Winners: Winners will be featured on the Coding Ireland website and social media feeds.
