Leaving Certificate Computer Science · Secondary School · Senior Cycle
The full two-year course on the online learning platform — board-led lessons, pupils coding on their own screens, and the Applied Learning Tasks and Coursework Project built in, all aligned to the NCCA Leaving Certificate Computer Science specification.
Platform used by 1 in 3 schools
The same lesson, open on each student's own screen. They follow along in class, and pick it up on their own afterwards.
Open either year and click straight into the real lessons — the practical tasks and project work built in.
Everything that comes with the Computer Science course.
Each lesson runs on the interactive whiteboard for you to lead, and the same lesson is open on each student's own device, where they write and run real code rather than watching slides. They can work away on it themselves too, so a missed class is caught up and a student who wants to go further can. The four Applied Learning Tasks and the Coursework Project are built in, so the practical strand is planned, not improvised.
Every learning outcome across the three strands — Practices and principles, Core concepts, and Computer science in practice — is taught through the platform, with pupils writing and running real code as they go. The four Applied Learning Tasks and the Coursework Project are scaffolded step by step: you run the in-school assessment and submit the project, while the platform brings the teaching, the coding environment and the practice.
