- make one Fix in that file
Warm-up
Think of a slide, poster or video you saw recently. If someone could not see the pictures, hear the sound or read small grey text, what would they miss? Jot down three words.
2 - Key Concepts ~6 mins
Alt text is a short description of a picture for people who can't see it.
Colour contrast is how strongly text stands out from the background.
Your font size for body text on a slide should be at least 24 pt.
Captions put spoken words on screen. A transcript is the full written version. You only need these for video or audio.

4 - Common Issues ~4 mins
Common issues
- I can't find alt text. Select the picture and look for Alt text. In Canva, it is in the More (⋯) menu.
- My slides look fine on my laptop. Stand back, or check them on the projector. Weak text shows up from further away.
- My file has no pictures, video or sound. Mark those rows N/A, then still check contrast and font size.

Independent Practice
- In {{code:09_specialism/sm2/}}, make a document called {{code:sm2_accessibility_audit}}.
- Copy the table below into it. At the top, name the file you are checking.
- Fill in every row with Pass, Fix or N/A and a short note.
- Open your real file, make one Fix, and save it. When your teacher calls time, start this even if your table isn't finished.
- Go back to your audit. Write what it was before and what it is now.
