Show the class the same photograph cropped two ways: once wide, once tight on one detail. Ask what each version says happened.
Nothing was added and nothing was faked. The only decision was what to leave out, and it changed the story.
Today you make those decisions yourself.
Five words you will meet in any image editor.
Canva runs in your browser. You need a free account, signed up with your school email. If you have not done that yet, tell your teacher now rather than working through it alone.
Once you are in, you will crop an image so it says what you want it to say.
A filter changes the mood of an image in one click. Brightness and contrast fix an image that is too dark or too flat.
Both change how a viewer feels about what they are seeing, without changing what is in the picture.
Everything you add to a Canva design sits on its own layer, stacked in the order you added it. That is why a text box can sit on top of a photo and still be moved on its own.
Then export, because a design left in Canva is not a file you can use anywhere else.
