Today you are reflecting on the Career Progression Plan you drafted, then banking ALT 2. A plan nobody else has read is still a private wish list. Peer review puts another pair of eyes on it against four hard checks: SMARTER goals, connected pathways, costed training, and whether someone else could follow it. The plan that leaves this room has to differ from the one that came in.

This is the full main step for ALT 2. Work in pairs.

Part 1 — review (about 15 minutes). Open your partner's Career Progression Plan Draft. Complete the on-screen rubric, one criterion at a time. Any judgement below the top level needs a specific comment that points at a line or a missing box. Finish by naming the one change that would most improve the plan. Then export or screenshot the completed rubric (or write the four judgements and the one change on a paper slip) and give it to your partner before anyone starts redrafting.

Part 2 — redraft and bank (about 25 minutes). Take the review of your own plan. Make the one change your reviewer named (and any others you accept). Save the refined plan as ALT 2 Career Progression Plan Final in your Strand 1.2 portfolio folder (for example S1.2/ALT2 Career Progression Plan Final). At the bottom of that same file, add a short heading Review note with three lines: (1) the one change your reviewer named, (2) what you changed because of it, and (3) any feedback you decided not to take and why. Disagreeing is allowed; ignoring is not. When that file is saved, ALT 2 is banked.

Talk these through with the person beside you, or sit with them quietly:

• Hold the draft you walked in with against the Final you just saved. What is actually different, in one concrete sentence?
• Which of the four criteria was hardest to judge honestly on someone else's plan, and what does that tell you about your own?

After class only (optional): add a short line under your Final plan on how it felt to let someone else test whether your five-year route is followable. Do not start that note until the Final file is already saved.
