Now look at this juice carton. Does it hold more than a litre, or less?
Three buckets: more than a litre, about a litre, and less than a litre.
The milk carton is our one-litre check. Watch which bucket each container goes in. Look for the clue on the label, or think about pouring into the milk carton.

1 L means 1 litre. Vote more, about, or less before each one lands.
In your maths copy, write one container that holds more than a litre and one that holds less.
You can use these names: bucket, bath, juice box, yoghurt pot, mug, washing-up bowl.
Sort each container into more than, about, or less than a litre. Check the labels when you see them.
