Two Halves Make One Whole, the Fraction Strip

You will explore how cutting a strip into two equal halves allows them to be put back together to form the whole again. You will also compare the size of one half with the complete strip.

    This is one whole.

    Two equal parts. Both are halves.

    One half is shorter than the whole.

    3 - Try It Together ~7 mins

    Shade both halves to make a whole. Then shade just one half.
