Warm-up

In your head, finish this sentence: "The riskiest thing I still do online without thinking is..." Keep your answer to yourself for now.

Unit 1 kept coming back to four big ideas.

• Digital words: words like browser, URL, domain and HTTPS help you explain a problem clearly.
• Email: folders, search and attachments help you find and send what you need.
• Online communities: read the rules and watch for a while before you post.
• Safety habits: one clear action works better than just "be careful".

Example

An email says "confirm your school login". Before you click anything, check the full sender address.

Today the whole class builds one safety checklist together. Each line must be something you can actually do, not a slogan like "stay safe".

1. Copy the three headings below into your notes.
2. Suggest an action when your teacher asks.
3. Write the agreed lines under each heading.

Later, you can use one of these lines as your habit.

Common issues

• Our line sounds like a slogan. Rewrite it as an action, like who you check or who you tell.
• I can't think of a habit. Pick a line from the class checklist that you don't do yet.
• I don't know where to save my page. Save it in {{code:Project_Portfolio}}, in the {{code:09_specialism/sm4}} folder.
