• write a short Unit 1 reflection for your Project Portfolio

First, open your school OneDrive or Google Drive and find your Project Portfolio folder.

Warm-up

Think of one thing you can do now with files or folders that felt hard at the start. Keep it in your head for later.

Hardware is the machine you can touch, and software is the apps on it.

Storage keeps files when the power is off, but RAM does not.

A file is one piece of work, and a folder groups files together.

Cloud storage keeps your files online, so sign out on shared school PCs.

Accessibility settings, like larger text or a magnifier, make the screen easier to use.

Example

Saving {{code:01_project_brief}} in your Project Portfolio is better than leaving {{code:document1}} on the desktop.

Open your Project Portfolio, then answer five quick questions on paper. Follow the steps in the box below. If some old files are missing, that is fine.

After question 3, stop and check the answers with the class.

Common issues

• I can't find my Project Portfolio. Search for {{code:Portfolio}} or {{code:Project}}, and check you're signed into your school account.
• My reflection file is in the wrong place. Open the Project Portfolio folder first, then make {{code:01_unit1_reflection}} from inside it.
• I have no snag to fix. Move a practice file out of the portfolio, then use search and {{btn:Move to}} to put it back.

You will fix your one snag, then start a file called {{code:01_unit1_reflection}}. Follow the steps in the box below. Only do the fix for your snag letter, and skip the others.
