Format 1 is your VET interview piece, now your {{code:_v4}} copy. Format 2 is your Something Real project for a different audience, planned in {{code:sm2_format2_skeleton}}. If a file is missing, tell your teacher now.

What is one thing format 1 does well that format 2 doesn't do yet?
Today format 2 should feel as finished as format 1.
Example
Aoife's format 2 is a one-page Canva poster. She found two spelling errors, a faint icon and a price with no source. She fixed all three.
Use this checklist on your own two files.
- Purpose: Is the audience for format 2 still clear?
- Structure: Is there one idea per slide, page or section?
- Tighten: Can I cut 10% and keep the message?
- Proofing: Are spelling, names, euro amounts and Irish accents right?
- Design: Is it lined up, easy to read, with no extra effects?
- Export: Does the shared copy open, and is the editable file still saved?
You will check format 2 against format 1 and list three gaps still to fix. Head a sheet of paper gap list and copy these two lines onto it.

Then follow the steps in the box below. If format 2 is Canva, CapCut or audio, watch your teacher's short demo first.
- Can't find a file? Search your drive for your project name, then move the file into {{code:sm2}}.
- Format 2 still looks unfinished? Don't start again. Fix the three gaps on your list first.
- Spell-check flags Irish names? Add them to the dictionary, then still read everything aloud.
- Need to export? Click {{menu:File -> Download}}, choose PDF, and save it in {{code:sm2}} as {{code:sm2_format2_export}}.
Independent Practice
- Open format 1 and format 2 from {{code:sm2}}, side by side.
- Fix the three gaps on your Format 2 still needs list.
- Make every heading the same size and style. Make sure the body text is easy to read.
- Download a shareable copy and save it in {{code:sm2}} as {{code:sm2_format2_export}}. Open it once to check it.
- Write G, A or R on your gap list. Green means done, amber means one gap left, and red means you need help.
- Format 2 is saved in {{code:sm2}} with no placeholder text.
- My headings match and my text is easy to read.
- Names, euro amounts and accents are correct.
- {{code:sm2_format2_export}} opens cleanly.
