What else can our body parts help us do?

Here is our special word for today. Job means what a part of our body helps us do.

Our hands can hold a ball. Our feet can hop on the spot. Our eyes can look across the room. What can your hands help you do?

Look at the child on the board. Listen to the job, then point to the part on your own body that does it.

Then we put its name on the child.

Let's stand in a big circle and find out what our hands, feet and eyes can do!

1. Hands: hold the beanbag. Pass it to your partner. Clap, clap, clap!
2. Feet: hop, hop, hop! Walk on tiptoe. March on the spot!
3. Eyes: look up high. Find something red. Follow the ball with your eyes.

After each job, one of us puts its picture in a hoop on the board: hands, feet or eyes. Then we try each job the tricky way. Which part is best at the job?

Roll the job dice! Everyone does the job for that number, all together.

Then point to the part of your body that did the job.

What jobs did your hands do today? What jobs did your feet do? What jobs did your eyes do?

A county footballer trains her feet to kick and her eyes to watch the ball. Our body parts did their jobs today too!
