JC Maths CBAs: Running the Mathematical Investigation and the Statistical Investigation

A two-hour course for Junior Cycle maths teachers on the two CBAs. In 2026/27, third years complete at least one CBA, your school decides on one or two, and there is no Assessment Task. It takes the problem-solving cycle and the statistical enquiry cycle stage by stage, shows what the three weeks look like in a real class, and sets out the help the NCCA guidelines allow so the work stays the student's own. You judge a sample report against the Features of Quality and prepare for the SLAR meeting. Every template is yours to download and adapt.
